How To... / Activity Bonus
Last post by Reba - January 29, 2020, 03:53:08 AMThe activity bonus can be found in the side menu under Members > Activity Bonus > Bonus Manager
The first tab in the bonus manager shows current prizes.
Total is the total number of that prize available, limit is the daily maximum available claims for that prize, the up arrow tells you if the prize is for upgraded members (Yes) or not (No). As you can see there really is no limit other than your disk space to the amount of available prizes you can have.
In the Create tab you will see a long form containing every available credit type:
The image cuts off however the important fields are showing.
Title - This is not shown to members.
Number Available - Total cumulative number of claims for this prize before it is unavailable.
Daily limit - Daily maximum number of claims for this prize.
Available to - This defines whether the prize is available for all members (standard and upgraded alike) or upgraded members exclusively.
All fields after those above are the credit amount for the prize, set to 0 when not giving a particular credit type.

Enable activity bonus - this turns the activity bonus on and off.
Minimum PTC required - Minimum ads member must click today to claim bonus. Set to zero to disable this requirement.
Minimum PTP hits required - Minimum valid PTP hits today to claim bonus. Set to zero to disable this requirement.
Minimum offers required - Minimum offers member must complete today to claim bonus. Set to zero to disable this requirement.
Minimum grid views required - Minimum grid views member must complete today to claim bonus. Set to zero to disable this requirement.
Minimum earnings required - Minimum member must earn to their balance today to claim bonus. Set to zero to disable this requirement.
Minimum PTR required - Minimum paid to read ads member must view today to claim bonus. Set to zero to disable this requirement.
Minimum emails required - Minimum paid email ads member must view today to claim bonus. Set to zero to disable this requirement.
Minimum exchange views required - Minimum exchange views today to claim bonus. Set to zero to disable this requirement.

How To... / Email Ad Manager

Upon opening the page you will see this or something similar:
The current ads tab contains all paid emails currently in the system regardless of credits or status. Three icons display in the table, the check mark opens the ad in a frame to let you check for frame breaking ads, the pencil icon takes you to the edit ad page for that ad and the delete icon gives you options while deleting the ad should you need to.
The second tab we see at the top is the Create tab:
In this tab you can create a new ad.
Title - this is the title of the ad as seen in the first tab as well as the email subject.
Target URL - this is the URL that should be redirected to in the link in the email.
Username - this is the username the paid email belongs to.
Target Country - here you will choose which country this ad is available to if you so desire, leave it as is to target all countries.
Credits - the amount of credits available for this ad.
Email body text - the text you want the member to read, it displays above the paid link in the email.
Credit retraction - this defines whether or not the member may retract credits from the ad.
The Pending tab:
This is where any paid emails awaiting admin approval will show. At the top you see a blue and a green button; update will update the ads as you have defined, activate all will approve all pending paid email ads. You may edit any pending ads directly inline on this page but to save your changes you must click update prior to activating all or any changes you made will be lost.
Settings tab:
Here you find a duplication of email settings found elsewhere in the site, included here only for the sake of simplicity and new admin ;)
Info tab
This will show you potential earnings from the amount of ads available as well as the credit count in members accounts and their value based on current member earnings per email read.
Purge tab:
This is where old ads can die a fast painless death. Define the number of days and all ads older than that will be deleted if they have no credits remaining.
Bot link tab:
This is a simple reminder the bot link should never be placed as a paid email ad.

How To... / Edit Homepage
Last post by Reba - January 29, 2020, 03:33:08 AMAssuming you have cPanel hosting, open your hosting manager, find file manager, from there open the root folder (typically public_html) now in the templates folder open the template you wish to edit and you'll see something similar to this though it may not be the exact same some key files will be.
layout_header.php contains the coding making your ads show for the most part, you shouldn't need to open this at all to edit your home page text.
layout.php is a mix of html and the echo of the layout_header file codes. Depending on your template this may contain homepage only content that needs to be edited as well.
home.php is the file you will most likely need to edit, get started by clicking the file and clicking code editor at the top of the page.
Your individual home.php may contain such a variety of coding it's difficult to go in to that part of it here... following the syntax (whether table rows, li tags or div tags) already present should maintain your design if you simply update the text to your preference.
If you have followed template best practices you will have a backup right at your fingers in the original file if you make any mistakes.

How To... / Template Best Practices
Last post by AuroraCoderz - January 21, 2020, 09:43:33 PMWhen customizing a default template create a new folder in the templates folder and copy the default template files you wish to use to the newly created folder. Now customize to your hearts content in your personalized template folder and activate it by choosing it in the template selector setting. This step will prevent having your customizations overwritten during upgrades.
If your template folder is not showing in site settings after creating the folder and copying the files you may need to either refresh the page or verify you created the new folder inside of the templates folder.
Default templates are licensed for the domain they are included with only and clients may use them however they wish on their licensed domain. Clients of Aurora Coderz may not sell Aurora Coderz default templates or derivatives based on Aurora Coderz default templates.

How To... / How To Change Your Favicon
Last post by AuroraCoderz - January 21, 2020, 09:23:32 PMThe favicon image is the image that shows in the browser tab when the page is open. The default that comes with the script is the blue star. To change your websites favicon you will need to generate a .ico image.
A simple free site to do this is https://www.favicon-generator.org, you will need an image to begin with. A square image is best, the generator will shrink it to the necessary size. After uploading your image choose what to convert your image to, an image for all browsers or simply the favicon.ico image (what I generally use). Next uncheck the Maintain Image Dimensions box as well as the public gallery box and click the "Create Favicon" button next to your image. Download the .ico file from the generator.
Now open up your hosting and file manager, you want to upload your .ico generated image to your root folder (public_html for most). Yes, overwrite the file there already. Now go to your website, if you do not immediately see the new image in your browser it may just be your cache... use the keyboard command Ctrl+F5 to do a hard refresh, it may take a few times to see the new image in the tab.
